Artificial intelligence is increasingly part of everyday life, from search engines and email to healthcare information and online services. This introductory session will explain, in plain language, what AI is, what it is not, and why it is receiving so much attention. We will look at where seniors may already encounter AI, discuss both its benefits and its limits, and outline practical principles for using it thoughtfully and safely. No technical background is required.
Howard Glick’s Bio:
Howard Glick is a retired psychiatrist in Vancouver who is actively involved in community education for older adults. He works to make complex topics—especially artificial intelligence—clear and accessible, helping seniors approach new technology with confidence rather than hesitation.
